Pelamos las patatas y las ponemos en un bol, añadimos la mantequilla, un poco de sal y las aplastados con un tenedor para formar nuestro puré de patatas.
  4. Ahora en una fuente para horno, en el fondo extendemos una fina capa de tomate para que el pastel de carne no se pegue. Encima extendemos una capa de puré de patata gordita de un grosor de 1'5 o 2 cm. Encima de la base de patatas, extendemos la mezcla de carne picada y verduras. Tapamos con otra capa de puré de patata más fina que la primera de puré de patata.
  5. Finalmente espolvoreamos con queso rallado. Meter al horno precalentado 200°C durante 20 min. Pasado ese tiempo poner a gratinar.
